Friendly Little Coffee Shop for Working Remotely

While on vacation, I had to work remotely a couple days in order to stay on top of everything. I would show up to The Flying Pig Coffeehouse early in the morning and stay until lunch time before headed off to grab a bite elsewhere. The drip coffee is all I had and was enough to wake me up each morning. Each day there appeared to be a different flavored coffee, Banana Nut Bread and Whoopie Pie were two I recall from my few days there.

The wifi is fast enough for my liking to get work done quickly and efficiently. The service is above and beyond, making me reminisce on how sparse Oak Island was 10+ years ago.

The shop is decorated with a ton of knick-knacks that add to the overall vibe of the welcoming environment. There is also an outdoor space that you can go and enjoy the cool, early morning weather.

Eventually, the shop does close in the early afternoon, but, most people don’t need coffee past 2pm.

The Flying Pig Coffeehouse felt like an office-away-from-office for the few days I worked there. I’m looking forward to visiting next year.
