Below is my review for Rock House Rock House eatery is the best restaurant we ate at in Guntersville, Alabama on a recent vacation.

We foolishly arrived without reservation right around 6:00pm. We were originally told it would be about an hour long wait, but within 15 minutes we were seated. While waiting for our seats, my party of five grabbed seats at the bar and had a drink.

The drink prices are very reasonable – $4.00 for a draft beer and $6.00 for a generous glass of wine.

Once seated, the menu seems limited, but everything is very appealing. We had the appetizer sampler to start.

As another reviewer stated, be sure to look at the special. I wound up ordering the special, which for this night was a massive pork chop with cornbread, beans & veggies, and kim chi collard greens. The waitress even added a side of garlic spinach for no additional cost since kim chi kinda freaks me out. Also, don’t let the prices fool you – you receive HUGE portions.

One of the best parts was the upright bass and violinist playing and singing in the room we were in. Everyone seemed to know each other in this super intimate setting making it even more memorable.

I’m not sure if I’ll ever be back to Guntersville, AL, but if I was, I would definitely visit Rock House again. A+ experience.
